In 2020, two study tours have been organised by the Department to visit Taiwan and Mayazaki, Japan.
In Taiwan, students have visited various institutions, like The National Taiwan University (NTU), National Policy Foundation, TVBS, and the National Human Rights Museum, and witnessed the Presidential Election on Jan 11, 2020.
In Mayazaki study tour, students learned the original stories of Takachiho and watched Kagura Dance. The also visited the Mayazaki University, the Takachihogo-Shiibayama Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) Heritage sites, and the local Mushroom farms for helping the farmers to harvest.
