Minor Study Scheme

The College is launching a Minor Study Scheme with effect from the 2017/18 academic year and onwards for current year 1 students studying the 7 programmes with Programme Area Accreditation (PAA) status.

Currently, the Department of Social Science offers the Minor in Asian Studies.

Minor in Asian Studies

– The Minor in Asian Studies scheme aims to provide non-major students with specialised knowledge in the developments and transformations in Asian countries.

– Students who wish to minor in Asian Studies are required to complete 5 modules (15 credits), 2 of which are compulsory:

  1. 1.ASI1000 Introduction to Asian Studies (3 credits) [Compulsory]

  2. ASI1001 Fundamentals of Political Science or
    ASI1002 Individual and Society (3 credits) [Compulsory]

  3. ASI module on Level 3 or 4 Elective (3 credits)

  4. ASI module on Level 3 or 4 Elective (3 credits)

  5. ASI module on Level 3 or 4 Elective (3 credits)
